What would Bayezid have done in Mustafa's place with the huge support of the Janissaries

Mustafa was raised from early childhood as the future ruler of the Ottoman Empire.

The rest of Suleiman's shehzade also dreamed of the throne, but none of them took any steps towards conquering the throne.

Bayezid had a quick-tempered character and more than once he brought down the wrath of the sovereign on his head.

He was used to the fact that his parents support Selim in everything, and he could only humbly bow his head.

Bayazid knew that he was the farthest from the throne, so he tried to support Mustafa in everything.

Mustafa, on the other hand, possessed all the qualities of a future ruler, but his father was constantly dissatisfied with him, and often what was forgiven to the rest, Mustafa did not get away with such errors.

The love of the people and the janissaries were his main trump card, but Mustafa did not dare to use it in full force. He was devoted to the sovereign and wanted to ascend the throne according to the law.

Bayazid, however, was not so devoted to his father, and did not raise an uprising for only one reason - he did not have such support from the janissaries as Mustafa, which means that the chances of ascending the throne are negligible.

As Bayezid once said to his servant Lala:

- I sometimes think what I would do if I were in my brother's place. If I had the support of the people and the janissaries like Mustafa, I would not be so patient.

Seeing the bewilderment of the servant, he added:

- You know my hot temper.

Bayezid loved his father, but he hardly began to endure constant attacks. And at the first opportunity, I would have roused all the janissaries and made a coup.
