The Turkish TV series “The Magnificent Century” quickly gained popularity. And after all, everything is really excellent in him - the play of the actors, chic outfits, the palace, the staged scenes.
I want to watch the series again and again. The writers successfully managed to convey the era of that time in the series.
But still, one nuance in the series excited many viewers - this is the replacement of the beloved Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska. Everyone familiar with Meryem Uzerli was unexpectedly replaced by Wahid Gerdyum.
There was a lot of indignation in the comments: why, why, the series became insipid, the actress does not fit.
I must admit that I also watched the first episodes with Wahide Gerdyum without enthusiasm. Everything is not right - facial expressions, emotions, laughter, voice.
To replace the impulsive Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska came a calm and balanced mistress.
But soon we got used to the new Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, and sometimes even laughter began to look like the old Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska.
There are several versions of the replacement by Meryem Uzerli. Some argue that the actress left the site due to pregnancy and an emotional state, while Meryem herself said in an interview that the replacement was planned. She did not want make-up artists out of her in the series to make an old woman, like Mahidevran, but Meryem had to leave a little later. But due to pregnancy and an unsuccessful romance, Meryem broke the contract much earlier. Therefore, an emergency replacement occurred.
For me, both actresses coped with their role excellently. Meryem perfectly played a young lady full of strength, energy and enthusiasm, Vahide coped with the role of a lady at an age.
Scenes are recalled where Suleiman learns about the illness of his beloved wife. Their meeting, hugs, tenderness is a heartbreaking scene.
And the last scenes with Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, when she says goodbye to her family and in the arms of “the sultan of her heart” leaves this world.
It seems that no one could have coped with this scene better than Waheed.
Therefore, I think both actresses coped with the role of Hyurem excellently.
But that's my opinion.
