Lala served Bayezid honestly and faithfully for a long time. The servant knew that the shehzadeh has a hot temper and often commits irreparable deeds. But Bayazid was supported by Khyurrem Sultan, which means that the lady will do everything to make her beloved son sit on the throne.
Lala told Shehzade more than once that he was ready to give his life for him, but in the most difficult period for Bayazid, when he especially needed a servant, he basely set him up before the sovereign.

Selim accepted his brother's challenge, but he did not come alone, but with archers. Bayezid knew that his brother would be cowardly, and therefore took all measures. As a result, the brothers had to fight one on one, and Bayezid won this fight. But he had the folly to have mercy on Selim, he could not take his life.
And if Selim had won the victory, he would have taken Bayazid's life without hesitation.
Selim did not sit idly by, and brought the chest to the ruler, outlining the situation in his favor.
The overlord decided to listen to Bayezid. Shehzade entered the rooms of the sovereign, being sure of his righteousness and Lala promised to confirm his words.
But Bayezid did not expect meanness from his servant. Lala, without batting an eye, said that Basid made him say that it was true.
Bayezid again could not subdue his anger and attacked Lala, accusing him of treason. But, the sovereign did not like such behavior in his presence, and drove everyone out of his chambers.
Can Lala be blamed for a treasonous act? Lala, like many servants, is looking for a place where the piece is fatter.
