Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, then Alexandra, got into the harem as a young girl. It was presented to Suleiman in honor of his accession to the throne.
The girl was cheerful and smart beyond her years, which did not go unnoticed by the Sultan.

She quickly won his heart and pushed the favorite Mahidevran to the background.

Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska knew what she wanted. And she wanted power, because in the harem she managed to acquire not only love, but also many enemies, longing for her death.

To strengthen her position in the harem and in the heart of the ruler, Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, at the age of 15, gave birth to the first-born Suleiman, whom the Sultan gave the name Mehmet.

According to the customs of the Ottoman Empire, Shahzade was not the main contender for the throne, because Suleiman already had the eldest son Mustafa, whom Mahidevran gave birth to.

But on the night of Mehmet's birth, Suleiman had a dream in which a child was lying on his throne - it was Mehmet.

After this dream, Suleiman believed that after him, the son of his beloved woman, Mehmet, would become the ruler.

Shahzadeh grew up as a smart and kind child. He did not crave power, was naive, reasonable, and also had a craving for art and books.

When Mehmet was 16 years old, he made his first military campaign to the Danube, from which he returned victorious.

Years passed and the time came when Mehmet needed to lead one of the provinces. And Suleiman decided that Mehmet should go to govern the sanjak in Manisa, which was considered the closest to the capital. Of the Ottoman Empire, and the honor of managing it was given only to the son who would later take the place of his father and begin to rule empire.

Suleiman removed Mustafa from this post and sent him to govern Amasya, which was a big blow for the senior Shahzadeh and his mother.

Mehmet ruled Manisa not for long, from 1541 to 1543, and during the years of his reign he often participated in military campaigns, from which he always returned victorious.

Mehmet did not have time to acquire a family, but he had a beloved concubine, Ayya-Khatun, who gave the shahzade a lovely daughter, Hyumashah-Sultan.

According to the plot of the "Magnificent Century" series, Mehmet never saw his daughter, perhaps it was in fact.
The fate of Mehmet promised great future, but this was not destined to happen. At 22, Mehmet dies of a smallpox infection.

In the series, we were shown that Mahidevran was involved in this, who ordered her servant Ilyas-Agu to become a loyal friend of Shahzade.

And later, training with him on swords, Ilyas-Agu, as it were, accidentally wounded Mehmet and applied an ointment infected with smallpox to the wound.

Whether it really was so is unknown, and it was not possible to prove Mahidevran's involvement in the death of Shahzade Mehmet.

The Shahzade was buried in the mausoleum of the luxurious Bayazid mosque, which Suleiman ordered to build in Istanbul, in honor of his beloved son.
