Now, not everyone without exception is waiting for the New Year. Yes, of course, we have high hopes for 2021, I want to believe that with the chimes, as if by magic, all illnesses and troubles will pass away. But for some reason, many now simply do not have any mood to celebrate the holiday.
Do you remember how in childhood? We were looking forward to the New Year holidays as soon as autumn began. With age, this partly remained, but now trends are changing a lot. And for many, the New Year has ceased to be considered a holiday altogether. Yes, unfortunately, New Year's holidays are increasingly losing their value as a family celebration.
Let's try to figure out together why is this happening? I will express my opinion now, you can, of course, disagree with him, I think that it will even be correct!
Why has the New Year ceased to be a holiday for many?
Life is monotonous
Some small troubles constantly happen to us. Now the car stalled, then the computer flew, then the pipes burst, then someone fell ill. And around everyone is already in full swing preparing for the holiday: dressed up streets and shops, people are shopping tangerines, make up the menu for the festive table, look after their outfit, negotiate with loved ones meet. But it seems that from year to year everything repeats itself, somehow everything becomes monotonous. I think you understand what I mean?
Noisy feast
A New Year's feast is always a plentiful table, but still a family holiday. So we have to sit at the same table sometimes with people who are not very pleasant to us. Is it a holiday when you have to celebrate it with people you don't like? Relatives, unfortunately, are not chosen, but toxic people need to be removed from their social circle. So it turns out that on the New Year we have not a table for reconciliation, but a reason for new grievances.
And a large number of salads, cuts and, of course, alcohol, leads to the fact that it becomes incredibly bad in the morning. After all, celebrating the holidays with light snacks and fruits is considered almost bad form.
Consumer boom
New Year is about promotions, sales, long lines in supermarkets. While you go to the store for bread, and stand on the eve of the holiday for half an hour in line with a loaf of gray, you will generally switch over to cook something. People, like crazy, buy up everything in their path, as if they had not eaten all year, and now they are trying to break away with might and main.
Foolish joy
All year we were worried about the coronavirus, and in December, as on schedule, everyone suddenly became happy and joyful. In general, no one cares that people may have problems with finances, health or mood. The end of the year, the holidays, everyone should be cheerful and contented, waiting for a miracle. Many are annoyed that December 31 is considered a real sacrilege.
Results and plans
It is accepted at the end of the year to sum up the results of the previous period, as well as to make plans for the future. Remember how it was last year? Did you do what you planned, did everything work out for you, as it should be? I think that not everyone has come true and realized, unfortunately. It makes me sick, empty words, and nothing changes.
High expectations
Everyone is waiting for the New Year, as something amazing, as something that will definitely give an opportunity to get rid of mistakes and learn something new. To the chimes, we make our most cherished desires, but, unfortunately, we all have too high expectations. As soon as 12 strikes, the new year begins, from the very beginning, with a clean face. So, everything is all over again, and in the morning there is also a headache, nausea, indigestion, and there is no mood. The chimes have waited, what to expect now?
Sorry for such a pessimistic post and gloomy picture, but agree, there is some truth in all this? Of course, there are people who actually get real pleasure from celebrating the New Year. After all, for them it is a great excuse to get together with their family and friends. It's just not clear which people are more now? Lucky ones who are really happy about the holiday or those who think like me?
