Blanks for future use are very good. You never know if there will be a shortage of food, an epidemic of a virus, or if the money will simply run out later. For example, I try to fill the freezer with meat right away from my salary, buy cereals, canned food. So I think I am always ready for any life turns and troubles. But today I want to talk about those products that in no case should be frozen, even if you really want to! You will not extend their shelf life, they will become tasteless and unfit for food after defrosting.

Do not freeze these foods

Potato

It is generally inappropriate to freeze raw potatoes. It will darken due to the fact that with strong cooling, a large amount of starch will begin to be released from it. Therefore, the vegetable will become very hard. When defrosting, you will get tasteless jelly, so making soup or mashed potatoes from such potatoes means ruining the dish for dinner altogether! It is also better not to freeze boiled potatoes - you get porridge.

Eggs

Eggs do not need to be frozen either. First, the product will completely lose its taste. And, secondly, if you freeze raw eggs, they will immediately crack due to the fact that the contents, both the yolk and the white, will increase in size. So, do not experiment, it will not lead to anything good. Eggs can be stored for quite a long time simply in the refrigerator, and they do not spoil.

Canned food

There is no need to freeze canned food. So they can be stored in cans and at room temperature for a long time. Peas, corn, pineapples, fish, meat - whatever you like! If you often use canned food, feel free to buy more of them, usually the shelf life of a can is about three years, or maybe more. But if you freeze canned food, then their contents will become very tasteless and soft. Wasted time and spoiled product!

Store milk

Everyone knows that real homemade cow's milk can and should be frozen. When frozen, the taste of the drink will remain the same, and all the useful qualities will be preserved. And the consistency will not change. But, if you freeze store milk, it will immediately begin to stratify, change the taste and texture. I do not know what they do with it in production, but it is definitely not necessary to "throw" it into the freezer for storage.

Garlic and onion

Our family loves the spicy taste of these vegetables, and their useful qualities are also appreciated. But in no case should these products be frozen! They will lose both their taste and benefit, and their condition will be unpleasant. Soft onions and some kind of dehydrated garlic. For fun, as an experiment, before writing this article, I froze a clove of garlic and an onion. A rare muck, thrown into the trash! So, I don't recommend it! Garlic and onions are great for keeping cool in the kitchen, so there is no point in freezing these vegetables.

Tomatoes

They contain a lot of water, after defrosting the tomatoes will lose both their original consistency and taste. Porridge, which you definitely cannot add to a salad.

Light alcohol

It is customary to refrigerate fortified alcoholic beverages in the freezer before use. But such measures are unacceptable for light alcohol. Champagne, wine, beer - firstly, the contents of the bottle will freeze, and secondly, the bottle with the drink may "explode"!
