Nowadays, beautiful and high-quality tulle is quite expensive. Therefore, it is not a thing that we can change too often. But, as luck would have it, it is the tulle that fades very quickly, darkens, turns yellow, literally the smallest specks are noticeable on it. Especially it is very scary to look at tulle after winter. Well, in winter, no matter how often you wash it, they usually do this in the warm season to dry faster. And here it is, the fierce winter ends, and you can't look at tulle without tears. What to do? Replace with a new one? Or maybe you shouldn't be in such a hurry and try to refresh it?
I offer you 3 proven ways to "reanimate" your tulle! Will whiten and look like new!
The best ways to bleach tulle
Starch way
A basin, water and 250 g of starch.
Let's get started?
First, you need to wash the tulle as you like. Next, pour warm water into the basin, stir the starch in it, and soak the tulle in the solution. Keep the material in the starch solution for about 10 minutes. After that, you will need to get it out, rinse and dry it.
With this method, you can get rid of stains, and also keep the snow-white tulle for a long time.
Unusual way
Why unusual, because whitening must be carried out with brilliant green!
You will need brilliant green, a basin, a glass.
Let's get started?
First, wash the tulle in any way you normally do - it doesn't matter with your hands or in the washer. I usually wash in the express washing machine. Now pour warm water into a glass, add 5-10 drops of brilliant green there, mix well and let stand for 10 minutes. Next, you need to look at the prepared solution, if there is a precipitate, it needs to be shaken by adding water. If it is not already there, then you can start washing the tulle. Fill a basin with warm water, about 7-10 liters, and pour the brilliant green solution into it. Dip the tulle into the prepared solution, and stand for 10 minutes, while you need to turn the fabric 2-3 times per soak. Next, you need to get the tulle, wring it out and dry it, as you usually do.
Be careful! If you still had a sediment in the solution of brilliant green, you run the risk of staining the material in a light green color. More precisely, greenish solutions may appear. If you are afraid to bleach tulle this way, then let's try the next method.
Salty way
Prepare the basin again, as well as washing powder and about 5 tbsp. l. coarse salt.
Let's get started?
Pour warm water into a basin, dissolve washing powder and salt in it. It is necessary to immerse tulle in the prepared solution, and hold it for at least 3 hours, and it is better to keep it all night long. In the morning, wash the tulle in your usual way and dry it.
If the tulle was very dirty, then you can first wash it with powder, then soak it in a salt solution, and then wash it again. By the way, rinsing in a salty solution is an excellent prevention of gray and yellow tulle.
Advice
To avoid creases and creases on the material, fold the tulle evenly before sending it to the washer. And as you wash, dry by hanging on the curtains! The tulle will quickly straighten under its weight.
In no case should the tulle be washed in hot water, the maximum temperature should be 30-35 degrees, otherwise the material will turn yellow!
It is better to rinse the tulle with water and vinegar, so the material will shine in the sun!
