In order to make the life of a gardener and gardener easier for himself, a harvester for picking berries was invented. The name of the harvester is rather arbitrary, rather, it is a fairly simple home-made device for harvesting. Agree that everyone wants a berry, and there is absolutely no desire to scratch your hands in the blood, making your way through thickets of gooseberries or currants. This mechanism is very simple and convenient to collect not only currants, but also other berries. What about cherries? All is well, but the tree is tall, and climbing on branches is fraught with falls and bruises. It's not worth it. BUT THE INVENTION AND HERE WILL COME TO HELP.
Another advantage: speed. The harvester allows you to increase the rate of collection. Where you would spend three or four hours by hand, an invention can be done within an hour. Now is the height of ripe cherries and other berries and fruits. It is worth paying attention to the device and trying it out.
I don't really like climbing trees, and my youth is far behind me. But what remains to be done if the trees have already been selected below, and there, at the very top, there is a ripe and very attractive berry. You can try to drag stairs from the barn. And even climb onto it and pick two berries that you can reach. Then you have to go down, put the basket on the ground, take the ladder and move it in order to pick two more berries.
Speaking from the same sweet, aromatic, but thorny gooseberry. A bloody showdown and crippled hands is indispensable. It is inconvenient to pick berries with gloves. The sensitivity decreases significantly, the berries fall to the ground, crumple. Harvesting is very difficult.
But there is a way out! Not everything is so bad and difficult! I propose to make a wonderful harvester for harvesting together and together. It can be made from available tools in minutes. I know for sure.
At the same time, the result can be achieved in several ways:
Option 1 - a device designed to collect berries from thorny bushes
We take a bottle of lemonade (plastic polish). In its wall we make a drop-shaped "window" with the sharp end towards the bottom of the bottle. You need to start cutting from the container hangers. First, just draw with a marker what you want to cut out. It's easier not to miss the size.
Do not unscrew the bottle cap, you will need it. The lid will slow down the berries at the exit and they will not fall out of the container.
We bring the harvester under the berries and pull it towards ourselves. The twigs holding the berries, falling into the narrow part of the cutout on the bottle, will come off and fall into the container. this way you can quickly pick up any berries.
As the combine is full, pour its contents into a bucket. Everything is very, very simple.
Option 2 - a device for picking berries from tall cherry trees
We take a ready-made harvester, which has already been tested on currants or gooseberries, and attach a long handle to it. FACT ON THE SAME HEIGHT WAVE!
How to do it: you need to unscrew the cap from the bottle and put on a 50-ku plastic pipe. It perfectly fits the size, it has already been tested on myself. You can fix it with tape. The neck of a plastic bottle is sometimes trimmed slightly to make the opening wider.
Now, holding the device by the pipe, we can reach any berry at the very top of the tree. The harvester works exactly on the same principle as in the case of berries growing on bushes.
Do not wait for the container to become heavy. At a height it is easy to not maintain balance and sprinkle berries, it will be very offensive. Shake the crop periodically into a bucket or basket.
