Having your own plot is not wise to buy it at the supermarket. Surely, you all plant young cabbage seedlings in the spring. At least a few forks. Now it's time for the cabbage to curl into the heads of cabbage, which means it's time to feed it. It often happens that the leaves are quite large, but the plant doubts whether it should form heads of cabbage. You need to direct him on the right path. And we will do it with top dressing.
A sluggish process will not benefit either the cabbage or your patience. If you let everything take its course, then sooner or later you will get forks, but it will be small, loose. This will not last for several months, but will begin to rot. we do not need this. All gardeners want to get strong, crispy heads of cabbage from which the most delicious cabbage rolls will be obtained. And salting this is a good thing.
How to feed
If we talk about the introduction of nutrients into the soil for cabbage, it should be noted that this is done twice per season. The first feeding takes place immediately after transplanting. Just at the time when the plant began to grow. Then he needs nitrogen. Indeed, at this moment it is necessary to increase the green mass. During the same period, cabbage is gaining nutrients into its leaves for subsequent fork.
The second feeding is carried out at the beginning of the fork tying process.
What to feed
You can use purchased drugs. With them, everything is simple on the label says what it is and why, and the instructions indicate the method of application. It's simple. There are no complicated purchased drugs.
But you can recall the experience of ancestors and use folk recipes for feeding:
1. The infusion of mullein, which has proven itself over the centuries. To get it, you need to put manure in a bucket at the bottom. Top up with water until full.
This mixture should stand for a week. Then do not use the solution undiluted. It is mixed with water in a ratio of 1 bucket of mullein to 10 buckets of water, water with the same scoop, 1 liter at the root.
2. A common herbal tincture works in much the same way. We take the nettle and fill the barrel with it by a third. We throw in a pound of fresh yeast. Add water to the top of the container. But I always leave space for the liquid to ferment freely and not spill out. The infusion process lasts 10 days. The barrel can be loosely covered with something. I covered it with a piece of thick cardboard.
In due time, dilute the resulting top dressing 1610 and water the cabbage at the root by 1 liter.
3. Root feeding is good. But together with it, you can apply foliar, that is, on a sheet. Let's say the use of boric acid does not hurt. After it, even real "brakes" - heads of cabbage begin to curl more fun.
To obtain a solution, you need to stir a teaspoon of the substance in one liter of hot, but not boiling water. Then pour the mixture into a bucket of regular well or tap water.
Spray the cabbage well over the leaf. treat the middle more carefully, it deserves it. Schedule this event for the evening, before sunset, when it no longer bakes and the midday heat has subsided. Make sure there is no rain either before or after or during spraying. Wind is also highly undesirable.
