Causes

Carotid atherosclerosis occurs in consequence of malnutrition, constant use of foods rich in saturated fats. As a result of the plugging is formed and the plaque that grows with time and overlying a vascular duct.
Symptoms of obstruction
Symptoms occlusion of carotid artery flow in violation occur in the CNS (central nervous system). The most typical and common ones:
- paresis (paralysis of any one side of the body);
- speech disorder (when the disease affects the coronary leading hemisphere of the brain);

- headache, dizziness;

The consequences of blockage of the carotid arteries
The consequence of a state in which clogged (due to patches) carotid arteries can be (and in most cases becomes) an ischemic stroke, or as it is called, "TIA - transient ischemic attacks" (when symptoms last less days).
