Isolated lifestyle and stress waiting for those who demonstrate social media uncharacteristic behavior
People who have an account in social networks, and try to demonstrate their unusual traits tend to experience stress and lead a secluded life. It is found out by scientists from the University of Tasmania, who conducted the study to Facebook.
According to the scientists, their objective was to assess the consequences arising from the use of his alter-ego in a social network. The authors compared the real and the virtual identity of users, degree of social attachment and psychological well-being, the level of anxiety, stress and depression. The study involved 164 participants who completed questionnaires.
Currently, world population is 7.4 billion people, and the number of Facebook active users - roughly 1.7 billion people. Scientists believe that if you develop techniques that allow people with psychosocial problems equally behave in real life and in Facebook, it will reduce the level of stress.
