For school authorities reserve the right to set their own vacations and school hours under these provisions. Experts believe that such an organization of the educational process will help to distribute the load on the children, get rid of fatigue, even elementary school students.
In a letter to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, aimed at education authorities, in which it is the structure of the academic year 2017/18 is said that the school year should begin on September 1 and end no later than 1 of July. At the same time of vacation days during the school year must be at least 30. How they will be distributed, decide to local authorities and school administration. Therefore, schools in some regions may decide to study in trimester rather than a quarter system.
As mentioned earlier, the new system of training 6 Training periods - 6 trimesters and rest periods - holiday. The duration of each term is 5-6 weeks, the duration of the holidays - a week. The exceptions are the two-week New Year holidays and the summer - the time which has remained unchanged.
In this case, the schedule of school holidays almost coincides with the "traditional" in the usual quarter system, except the holidays and the school year is as follows:
1 term / autumn vacation - 2-8 October;
2 trimester / autumn holidays 2nd stage- November 17-23;
3 trimester / winter holidays - December 27 - January 8;
4 trimester / winter holidays 2nd stage - 21-27 February;
Trimester 5 / spring break - April 10-16;
6 trimester / summer vacation - 1 June - 31 August.
However, according to the order of the relevant departments, in the summer rest is absolutely all students, regardless of the education system. The end of the school year as determined by the local authority and the school administration, but it can not end later than 1 July.
