For every mom and dad of their child best. And he is loved because it is simply there, they realize that their child is - unique. However, some parents of their views about the election of its offspring is not enough - for them and there are children's beauty pageants. For example, such as the American Toddlers & Tiaras or our local mini-miss "of a city or a year."
And yet, I want to understand the cause of children in these "shows". Why do it: just to amuse the ambitions of parents or all of the same for the benefit of the child?

They are supposed to demonstrate itself in swimsuit, evening dress and themed costumes. Just like adults!
The first children's beauty pageant called "The most beautiful child" initiated hotelier Atlantic City in 1921. It was a good marketing ploy to attract tourists. This idea was soon picked up by others.
The first contest "Little Miss America" across the country was organized in 1961, in 1964 it collected more than 35 thousand visitors.
Organizers had to quickly introduce the separation of categories by age and take the youngest contestants who barely learned to walk.
Since then, the beauty contests for young ladies have become a lucrative business, and bring the organizers of millions in profits.
To "help" my child win, some mothers have resorted to quite risky "adult" tricks.
Some girls inject botox to those in their 7-8 years... "I look younger".

If beauty pageants bring good taste and manners, they have the right to life. We are not prudes, and yet, somehow doubt highly cultured content of such events.
