Expectant mothers in Ukraine are entitled to government assistance for pregnancy and childbirth, even if they are not officially employed. Moreover, this right extends to pregnant women does not matter - they are registered in the district center of employment or are registered. The difference will be in the amount of benefits, and the package of documents to be submitted to the authority of labor and social security of the population (social security) at the place of registration.
Unemployed women registered with the employment office, assistance for pregnancy and childbirth is charged in the amount of 100% of the minimum size of unemployment benefit (in 2017 it is equal to 544 UAH.). Providing a medical certificate from the antenatal clinic (it is made in the 30th week) Employment Center, the woman removed it from the register and formalize a cash assistance in a social security.
Female students of universities and colleges accrued in the amount of maternity monthly stipend. And if they do not get a scholarship, then draw up a cash benefit for pregnancy in a social residence (usually this organization is located in a building of the executive committee of the city).
Unemployed women not registered at the employment center, charged 25% of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons per month.
Allowance is made in a social security with the following documents:
• an application (written in a social security);
• work book (if any);
• Passport and copies 1, 2 and pages with details of registration;
• student card (for students);
• a certificate from the university or college that you really are a student of an educational institution;
• hospital antenatal sheet;
• A certificate from the employment center that you do not get their unemployment benefits.
