In summer, children need to drink especially a lot of water. But how to choose a really childish and safe one?
1. Children's water should have low mineral content and be extracted from underground sources, produced from table mineral water or natural drinking water. Children should not be given water that is produced by post-treatment and mineralization of ordinary tap water.
2. Children's water should contain calcium, magnesium and sodium in a certain concentration. Permissible total mineral content - 100–500 mg/l. The hardness of water should not exceed 7 mg-eq/l. The maximum indicators of minerals in baby water: calcium - 60 mg / l, magnesium - 30 mg / l, sodium - 20 mg / l, bicarbonate ion - 400 mg / l, sulfates - 150 mg / l, chlorides - 150 mg / l, nitrates - 5 mg/l.
3. There must be a specific indication on the bottles that the water is intended for children, indicating the age group, mineralization indicators, and shelf life.
4. An open bottle of baby water can be stored for several days (the exact indication should be on the label). If the child has already drunk from a bottle, then it is not worth storing it at all, as well as reusing a plastic disposable bottle.5. It is not necessary to boil baby water for drinking. Purchased water that has been purified and filtered does not need additional boiling.
