Psychologists told what to do if you started hearing non-existent air raid sounds. This condition is called phantom siren syndrome.

During the war, we have to listen to the sounds of air raids every day and several times. This sound, to put it mildly, is unpleasant and very annoying. As a result, they can give up, and a person may begin to hear a siren even when it is not actually there.

What to do if you hear a non-existent siren sound 

It is important to return to your body a sense of reality. This can be done in this way:

  • wash with cold water;
  • squat;
  • hug the one who is nearby;
  • drink water;
  • list the items you see;
  • describe some object, naming 5-6 of its characteristics;
  • breathe deeply and calmly.

Derealization occurs when we do not satisfy our basic needs - for example, sleep, food. Try to get as much sleep as possible. To fall asleep, do not read the news before bed. And during the day, do information hygiene: read information on trusted resources and for a certain time.

Don't forget to drink. A warm drink helps to cope with stress. As well as a clear algorithm of actions in case of force majeure, for example, in the event of a real air raid. Write a step-by-step action plan, keep it in the same place alarm case.
