Throughout the week, you need to cook pancakes, dumplings, pies with various fillings. The only thing is that at this time, according to tradition, you should not eat meat and meat products. So we gradually adjust our body to a lean diet.
The peak of Maslenitsa festivities falls on the last two days, on March 5-6. It is on these dates that the most interesting events will take place.

The National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life celebrates Maslenitsa every year. The feature of the open-air museum is the performances of folk groups with incendiary Ukrainian songs. Traditionally, an effigy is burned here. Children and adults will be offered ancient Ukrainian amusements. There are also master classes, pancake eating contests, horseback riding and much more.

Maslenitsa in the Kievan Rus park

If you have always wanted to celebrate Maslenitsa according to ancient traditions and rituals, then you should definitely go to the Kievan Rus park. All visitors are expected: a horse-stunt show, archery, round dances, various games and competitions, tasting delicious pancakes with a variety of fillings, Slavic tinctures. And only here is the burning of the largest effigy in Ukraine.
