Sultan Suleiman dreamed of capturing the island of Rhodes, which his ancestors failed to take. After a long preparation, he with an army of janissaries went out to the Mediterranean Sea, confident that he would return to the Ottoman lands with a victory.
However, the Rhodians did not intend to surrender, and when the Ottoman ships came close to their island, they went on the offensive.
Many Ottoman ships sank and the Sultan's galley was also in distress. Sultan Suleiman understood that now only a miracle would save them and ordered Ibrahim to pray.
Meanwhile, sorrowful news comes to Topkapi Palace: the Sultan's Galley sank and the fate of the sovereign is still unknown.
But apparently the Almighty loved Suleiman very much, since he gave him life. Sultan Suleiman and Ibrahim escaped and were able to hang their banner on the fortress of Rhodes.
Sultan Suleiman with his army, won a victory and on the very first day in the mosque of Rhodes decided to perform Namaz. But Suleiman did not expect that danger would lie in wait for him here. One of the warriors decided to kill the Ottoman sultan by sticking a dagger belonging to the Ottoman dynasty into his back.
The warrior, aiming at the back of the Sultan, released the dagger from his hands. But Ibrahim saw the danger in time and covered the overlord with his body, taking the blow on himself.
Ibrahim was saved. Suleiman, in gratitude, told a friend to ask for whatever he wants. Ibrahim modestly asked: "Do not take away my life."
Suleiman promised that he would not take his life. But unfortunately, years later, he will forget about this promise.
