One thousand hryvnia for vaccination can be received in the coming days. How to issue an application for payment, when will the money be credited, and where can it be spent?
In November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised all Ukrainians who were vaccinated against coronavirus to pay 1,000 hryvnias. To receive money, you need to meet only two conditions: be vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine, and install the Diya mobile application on your smartphone. How to apply for a "thousand from Zelensky"

"Blame a thousand", as the people call state support, will begin to pay from November 19. However, an application for receiving money can be made from today until December 29 of the current year. Those who meet this time frame will receive money this year. If you do not have time, the payment will be counted from next year.
To apply, you need to download the Diya application to your phone (if you already have it installed, you need to forcibly update it to the latest version). Log in to it and make sure you have Green covid certificate (about completing the full course of vaccination). For those who have received only one vaccination ("yellow" vaccination passport), the service is not available.
In the application, go to the "Services" section and select the "ePidtrimka" subsection. Here you need to confirm your age (over 18 years old), and select the bank that will generate a virtual card for crediting money. To date, three state and three commercial banks are participating in the program. These are Privatbank, Oschadbank, Ukrgasbank, Alfa-Bank, A-Bank and Monobank. But the government says that the list of banks will be constantly expanding.
Having chosen the bank, you need to confirm the receipt of the virtual card and send an application for the accrual of funds. Depending on the degree of the bank's workload, the card is generated from several hours to several days. And the money will be credited from December 19 to December 31 of this year.
How to apply for money without "Diya"
Today, the opportunity to make an application for the payment of a covid thousand is closely tied to the application "Diya". However, not everyone has it: not every pensioner in Ukraine can boast of having a smartphone, not to mention being well versed in mobile applications. For such people, there should be an alternative tool for raising money, but it is still under development and will be launched in the first quarter of 2022.

The money for vaccinations has a clear purpose: it can be spent on services only for those types of businesses that are most affected by the coronavirus. So, for example, you can pay with a virtual card:
- gym, pool or fitness center membership;
- a ticket to a museum, cinema or theater;
- a ticket for railway or air transportation within Ukraine;
- purchase books of Ukrainian publishing houses
The Ministry of Economy warns: banks will recognize the category of costs when paying with a virtual card. So you won't be able to spend money for some other purpose, withdraw it in cash from an ATM or transfer it to another bank card.
Another ding nuance: the covid thousand is "limited" in time. The money must be spent within four months from the date it was received. As soon as the period expires, the funds (or what is left of them) will be returned to the state account, and the card is automatically canceled.
