For a long time, proudly occupying half of the windowsill, there was a slow cooker in my kitchen. I always considered this invention stupid, because I simply did not know good how to use this contraption. I remember thinking of making pilaf in a slow cooker. So I found a recipe: fry the meat in a pan - throw it into the multicooker bowl, fry the vegetables - throw it into the multicooker, well, then rice, water, in the end everything burned out. This was the end of my friendship with the multicooker.

I just imagined that all the components of the dish are thrown immediately into the multicooker bowl, and then fry them, follow the preparation. Well, okay, we didn't make friends, it happens. And then I found tips for people like me who are not particularly knowledgeable, and you know, I began to use it again. I'm happy!

I think these tips will be useful to you too.

12 tips for those with a multicooker
  1. Pour milk into a bowl and set the "stewing" mode for 1.5 hours. You can calmly go about your business, the milk will not run away anywhere, but it will turn out boiled.

  3. Again the "extinguishing" mode. If you leave the milk there for 6 hours, then you get baked milk.
  4. Another thing about milk. The multicooker pan is like a thermos. So, if you heat the milk, and ferment it a little, and then send it to the multicooker, then overnight you will get real kefir from it! And, if made from baked milk, then fermented baked milk.
  5. With the "stew" mode, you can cook amazingly delicious stews!
  6. Eggs are perfectly cooked in a slow cooker. Put on the "steaming" mode, after 5 minutes the eggs will be soft-boiled, after 7 - in a bag, and after 12 - hard-boiled.
  7. My unloved “pilaf” program has found its way into my kitchen. You can make dumplings like that! Throw the dumplings into the multicooker bowl, add water, spices and literally a spoonful of butter. Set the "pilaf" mode on time for 10-15 minutes, and you're done. Just lick your fingers!
  8. In the "pilaf" program, you can also stew potatoes. But the most important thing in the process is no control, and nothing needs to be interfered with!
  9. You can even fry meat or fish in the baking / frying mode in a multicooker. Here is my favorite recipe for you: first beat the meat, so if you were cooking the chops, pepper and salt it, and then send it to the multicooker. Set the timer for 20 minutes, do not forget to grease the bottom of the bowl with oil! When the multicooker beeps, add sour cream to the meat, set the "stewing" mode for half an hour. You will have just a great dish that will be appreciated by all your homemade!
  10. Do you want jellied meat, but don't want to stand at the stove for hours? New Years are coming soon, and it's time to experiment! In a slow cooker, you get a gorgeous jellied meat, tasty and transparent, like glass! And you need to cook it for 12 hours in the "stewing" mode.
  11. You can cook two meals at the same time. Put rice, potatoes, buckwheat down - something to your taste, on top on a special stand of sausages, chicken, meat. Again the "extinguishing" mode. The dish turns out to be magical. Juices from meat products will flow down to the side dish, soaking it, so no sauces are needed!
  12. Any soup can be cooked in the "stew" mode. Don't be afraid, experiment. Delicious, guaranteed! For example, such a simple recipe: chicken pieces, diced potatoes, finely chopped onions, grated carrots, any macaroons - everything is sent to the multicooker at the same time, water and spices are added. You can, of course, cook on the "soup" mode, but if it is not there, choose "stewing" and set the timer for 1.5 hours.
  13. And finally, one more dish. Set the "baking / frying" mode, fry the carrots, minced meat and onions. Then set the "pilaf" mode, add macaros to the minced meat and vegetables, add boiling water so that everything is covered on top, and cook. It turns out wonderful naval pasta!
