What should a child eat per year? How to diversify the menu? Is it possible to transfer a child to a common table? What products and in what quantities are acceptable?

In a year, the child already eats not only mashed potatoes, but also food in pieces. During this period, eating habits are laid, therefore it is very important to make the baby's diet varied. The menu should include fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and milk. And although the child becomes interested in what the parents eat, it is too early to transfer the baby to the common table.

Features of the child's nutrition per year

There are a number of nutritional features that parents of a year old should consider:

  1. Stick to 5 meals a day, with breaks of 3-4 hours.
  2. A child under 1.5 years old needs about 1000-1200 g of food per day.
  3. Introduce fats into your diet daily - vegetable and butter.
  4. Stew, bake, boil - stick to these cooking options.
  5. Do not forget about water, even if your baby is still breastfed. He must drink 300 ml daily.

How to feed a child a year?

Dairy products. The kid is already familiar with them, and, as a rule, loves cheese curds and yoghurts. But mothers should adhere to daily norms, since excessive protein intake has a bad effect on the kidneys. 40 g of cottage cheese, 150 g of kefir or yogurt is the daily norm for a one-year-old child. Try to give preference to products of medium fat content, do not buy homemade cottage cheese and sour cream. But there is also no benefit from minimal fat milk.

In a year, you can enter into the diet 35% hard cheese, but not more than 5 grams a day. The product is too salty.

As far as cow's milk is concerned, this is a controversial issue at this age. Here you need to focus on the recommendations of your pediatrician.

Meat. The norm per day is up to 100 g. Prefer veal, rabbit, quail, turkey and homemade chicken. The liver should not be given more than once a week, as it contains toxic substances.

A fish. At least twice a week, 50 grams of lean fish should be introduced into the child's diet: pollock, hake, hare, perch.

Eggs. Give your child one hard-boiled homemade or quail egg (2-3 pcs) twice a week. Moreover, you can give both yolk and protein.

Vegetables and fruits

These foods should be included in every meal. Moreover, it is already possible to acquaint the baby with sour berries, seaweed and tomatoes, fresh dill and celery.

Legumes

In a year, it is enough to introduce green beans and peas into the diet (not from a can!).

Cereals

Continue to introduce your child to the rich selection of cereals. Porridge that should be set aside for later are barley and pearl barley. They are harder to digest than others.

Pasta and bread

Pasta is always held in high esteem by kids, but keep in mind that they can be given to one year old no more than 1-2 times a week. There is no need for bread at this age, but if the baby asks, then try not to give more than 50 g per day.

Butter

The wider the range of vegetable oils, the richer and healthier the child's diet. Try to inject a drop of oil into any meal, but it is better to give butter in limited quantities - no more than 10 g per day.

What foods should not be given per year?

  1. Pork, duck
  2. Sausages, sausages
  3. Seafood, smoked and fatty fish
  4. Canned food
  5. Cocoa
  6. Sugar, salt
  7. Fried, grilled dishes
  8. Mushrooms, beans
  9. Canned or sour vegetables
