The fact is that in seriously ill patients somewhere in the hospital, blood sugar can very easily jump. Previously, such patients stupidly poured half of the daily calorie intake in the form of glucose and other carbohydrates. Then it turned out that it was not useful for them.

That is, extra sugar for seriously ill people, all other things being equal, was not useful. Therefore, the carbohydrate dose had to be reduced with additional protein. Then the elderly began to die less often. So the story about the high sugar needs of sick old people did not come true.

In principle, a person can live without added sugar. But you can't eliminate all the sugar. Because a person has to eat five or even seven servings of vegetables and fruits a day. Then for some reason he lives longer and gets sick less often.

One serving is approximately 80 grams. This is one banana, or one apple, or one orange, or three heaped tablespoons of some vegetables, or 150 milliliters of fruit juice.

All of these vegetables or fruits have simple sugars. Throwing them out will not work.

Sugar makes sense if it enhances the taste of healthy foods that you cannot eat without sugar. Like add a little sugar to the sour vegetable stew. Therefore, people are allowed to eat 5-10% of the added sugar.

But theoretically, you can remove all the sugar and the diet, and a person will not die from this. So don't deceive me.
