Doctor, how can I get fat?
This question is rarely asked to me. But they do.
In June 2021, I had a wonderful patient, a 26-year-old girl. With a height of 161, she weighed only 45 kg, and bioimpedance analysis showed a large fat deficiency and wasting. I must say that for women this is not a very good story, it is fraught with problems with childbirth and the absence of menstruation.
In case of exhaustion, it is imperative to make sure that the patient does not have diseases that contribute to a pronounced decrease in body weight:
- thyrotoxicosis,
- inflammatory bowel diseases with impaired digestion and absorption of nutrients,
- parasites,
- even worse.
If a person is practically healthy, and this is confirmed by analyzes and examinations, then everything further is simple and pleasant.
- You need to eat a lot, often and high in calories.
- More butter, sugar, juices, fruits, ice cream and cakes.
- It is possible for the night.
How and why they get fat on fruits
My patient decided to start with fruit. Let me remind you that the fructose contained in them whets the appetite and promotes fat deposition.
Unlike many, the girl was not very fond of fruits and berries. But she began to force herself.
Bananas, strawberries, cherries, watermelons ...
Before and after meals. Instead of food (snack). Necessarily for the night.
And a few days ago, we again made her bioimpedance (attach). She typed 4 kilograms, of which almost all - purest fat. If you can see the numbers in the analysis - it was 6.1 kg, it is 8.9 fat.
And from the category of exhaustion, she moved into a solid fitness standard.
I emphasize: the girl needed fat, and she gained it, just allowing herself to overeat fruit.
