Summer is coming to an end, and many of us are thinking about going to fitness in the fall. What do you need to take with you to the gym for a comfortable and safe workout?

1. Shoes

In no case do not go barefoot: you can hit your toes on the simulator or completely injure your foot with an accidentally fallen barbell. You should not go to the gym in slippers - even those that are positioned by manufacturers as sports. They are slippery, unstable, do not protect the toes and do not fix the leg, which can lead to both dislocations and more serious injuries. Training in flat sneakers will hurt your knees a lot.

What kind of shoes to choose? For step aerobics, high-top sneakers are suitable, which will fix the foot. Cushioning running shoes are ideal for the gym. They should be "breathable" (you can use a mesh to ventilate your feet), exactly the right size and comfortable. Be sure to wear socks in your shoes: you can buy both sports seamless ones and the most ordinary ones.

2. clothing

It can be a tracksuit, shorts, pants or leggings, a T-shirt, a T-shirt or a top - in any combination. Find yourself an option in which you feel comfortable. But if the room is cool, wear warm pants and a sweatshirt: cold muscles and joints are easy to injure.

In general, clothes should be free of movement, absorb sweat well and be clean at all times. Hygiene is not only a matter of pleasant smell, but also of health: during physical activity, pores expand, and dirty clothes are a beneficial environment for skin pathogens. As a result, redness, inflammation, acne and even scabies can occur.

3. Underwear

Never train in a normalbra (especially if you have a large breast size): get a sports top. It is made of a dense synthetic material that will fit the body well and at the same time provide the necessary ventilation. In addition, it will perfectly support the breasts, prevent sagging and the appearance of stretch marks on delicate skin.

4. Gloves

Useful if you work with heavy weights. It is best to choose a model with a leather backing and clipped fingers: these are more comfortable to train in. Their main purpose is to protect the hands and prevent the formation of calluses. In addition, they will prevent your palms from sliding on the handle of the simulator, kettlebell or barbell. For the same purposes, you can use chalk or a substance called magnesia. And it is imperative to do this: when your hands are sweating, heavy weight can simply slip out and injure.

5. Towel

It is advisable to lay it on the simulator so as not to come into contact with your body. After all, it is not known who before you pressed their sweaty back to this simulator... You can also wipe off sweat with a towel. And it may also be needed when working with large weights, as a lining on the shoulders.

6. Water bottle

The water should be clean, non-carbonated and by no means sweet. On average, you need to drink from 0.5 to 1.5 liters per workout. This is exactly how much a person needs to restore electrolyte balance during physical activity.

7. Diary

If you want to achieve results quickly and make your workouts as effective as possible, you need to keep a success diary. In it, clearly state the goals and how to achieve them. After you start exercising, log everything you eat in the day in your journal every day. Then count in the calorizer how much proteins, fats, carbohydrates in your diet, and compare with the norms. In addition to nutrition, write down which part of the body you train on which day, how many repetitions of each exercise you do, etc.

8. Bath accessories

After an intense workout, take a shower. It not only removes sweat and unpleasant odors, but also has a calming and relaxing effect on the body. An indispensable attribute for visiting the shower is slippers. Always move around the locker room only in them, otherwise you risk picking up the fungus. In addition, in the shower, you will need soap (shampoo, shower gel) and a washcloth, preferably large, so that you can lather your back. Take a bath towel and clean underwear.

9. Cosmetic bag

It is best for women to go to the gym with a minimum cosmetics on the face, and if possible, even without it. Firstly, this way you will allow your skin to rest, and secondly, you can wash your face in the shower without fear. By the way, training with makeup can provoke the appearance of acne: with physical activity, the sebaceous glands are actively working, sweat is mixed with cosmetics, which leads to skin inflammation. Do not use perfumes with strong odors in the gym: if the ventilation is not very good in the gym, aggressive aromas will "spoil" the air, and this can cause allergies.

10. Rug

In the gym, a mat is often required to perform various exercises. Better to buy your own: it's more hygienic.
