- Will vaccination against the new strain help?
Yes, virologists say it helps.
It must be remembered that the vaccine is the best protection against coronavirus, but it is not one hundred percent. There will always be people who do not develop an immune response.
However, there are encouraging facts.
There are cases of coronavirus disease after vaccination, as after any other vaccination. But the vast majority in this case get sick easily or without symptoms at all. Only a few end up in hospitals after vaccination, mostly those who have not completed the vaccination with the second component.
- Do I need to be vaccinated now, during the rampant epidemic.
Here, I'm afraid we have little choice. The epidemic practically does not allow us to catch our breath. It's worth getting vaccinated. In reality, Sputnik has few contraindications, it is well tolerated by patients.
Pregnant and lactating women should not be vaccinated 100%. Maximum self-isolation is highly recommended to them.
