Where in Kiev you can legally barbecue: a list of picnic areas

The kebab season starts much later this year than usual. Cold weather and rain are not conducive to outdoor gatherings. However, this plays into the hands of the representatives of Kievzelenstroy: this year they have equipped more barbecue areas than before. It is legal to get out on a picnic and sit "with a smoke" today in any of the districts of the capital. Each is equipped with at least two, and in some places even 4-5 territories, where you will not be fined for a fire. Let us remind you that you will have to pay from 1530 to 4590 UAH for making an open fire in the wrong place.

An official ban on cooking kebabs and other foods over a fire in the forested areas of Kiev was introduced back in 2016. In order not to tempt law enforcement officers and the patrol police, many residents of the capital have since preferred to go out for a barbecue.

Traveling to such places is not only safe from the point of view of the law, but also very convenient. All of them are equipped to the maximum with barbecues or a place for a fire, awnings from the weather, tables and benches. Many zones are located so that it is easy to get to them by minibus. Coals or firewood are often sold in supermarkets or shops nearby. All that is required of you is to choose a suitable place from the list, marinate meat, pack your backpack and go on a legal picnic.
