The long-awaited warmth has finally come to Kiev, when you want to walk and enjoy the sun, flowers and the air filled with spring scent. At VDNKh, you can combine a walk with entertainment for the whole family. More than 20 different locations for family vacations have started operating on the territory of the Expocentre. Among them: spectacular open-air expositions, educational projects, non-standard quests and entertainment areas for children and adults. And when you work up your appetite, you can have a tasty meal in the gastronomic zones, which will traditionally be located throughout the territory of VDNKh. Everything is absolutely safe and in compliance with quarantine standards.

Educational projects

Pavilion No. 1

Schedule: closed Monday, 10: 00-20: 00

Entrance: is free

The exposition dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was created at the initiative of the Office of the President by the Ministry of Defense environment and natural resources of Ukraine together with GAZO with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information politicians.

The exhibition is the first part of a large project for the revitalization of Chernobyl, Chornobyl. Today. Exposition “Chornobil. Podoroz ”consists of archival photographs and video materials, works of world and Ukrainian artists and eyewitness stories of the accident.

Thanks to VR technologies, during a visit to the exhibition, you can even be transported to Chernobyl and see how the fourth the power unit was covered with a "New Modern Confinement", to see with your own eyes how life is returning step by step to the Zone alienation.

Also, each guest of the exhibition will be able to record their own memories, thoughts and experiences and save them in video or audio format. After the end of the exhibition, the materials will be posted on a digital platform that will continue to collect reflections on the topic of the Chernobyl accident.

Dinosaur Planet Park

Forest park area behind pavilion No. 1

Entrance: children under 2 years old - free, Monday-Tuesday - 150 UAH for adults and 130 UAH for children, Wednesday-Sunday - 190 UAH for adults and 170 UAH for children. There are family tickets and discounts for privileged categories of citizens.

The large-scale exhibition includes more than 20 interactive exhibits made in real size - all of them are mobile. Information panels will be placed next to each dinosaur, from which visitors can learn many interesting facts about the life and habits of the largest creatures that have ever lived on Earth. And for real fans, a special entertainment will be available in the park: riding on huge animatronic dinosaurs. Also on the territory of the exposition there will be thematic photo zones dedicated to the life of prehistoric creatures, children's locations with excavations of fossils, play areas, a labyrinth and other entertainment.

Pavilion 23

Schedule: Tuesday-Sunday, 10: 00-20: 00.

120 interactive exhibits of the Science Museum were developed by teams of scientists from Canada, USA, Poland, Sweden, Great Britain and Ukraine. The peculiarity of the exposition is that you can interact with each exhibit: examine it through a microscope, examine the density of various objects, magnetic properties, etc.

Visitors will also be able to ride a bicycle with square wheels (there are only 4 such models), go on a space journey, see a two-meter hologram and a multi-kilogram crystal.

Pavilion No. 4

Schedule: Tuesday-Sunday, 10: 00-21: 00

Entrance: from Tuesday to Friday 350 UAH, on weekends - 400 UAH.

Children under 5 years old are free. Discount and students: 300 UAH on weekdays and 400 UAH on weekends.

The world famous Gunther von Hagens exhibition will run at VDNKh until August 1. Visiting it, guests of the Expocentre will be able to get acquainted with the anatomy of giant animals. Among the more than one hundred exhibits on display are the bodies of the inhabitants of the desert, jungle and ocean. Visitors will be able to see firsthand what a bull's heart looks like, learn why ostriches are the fastest runners in the world of fauna and what trait helps reindeer survive in extremely low temperature.

Pavilion No. 3

Schedule: until the end of July, Tuesday-Sunday, 10: 00-21: 00

Entrance: from 180 UAH

An interactive educational exhibit featuring 18 lifelike exhibits of ancient ocean and marine animals. The largest of them is 15 meters long and over 5 meters high. Dinosaurs move and make realistic sounds. At the exhibition you can learn interesting facts about giant creatures and plunge into the prehistoric world.

Pavilion 11-A

Schedule: daily from 10:00 to 19:00

Entrance: 140 UAH for adults, 130 UAH for children under 16, for privileged categories of citizens - 120 UAH.

Visitors to this pavilion will find themselves in real tropics, where it is always +28, and dozens of colorful butterflies are circling around. You can not only see bright creatures, but even hold them in the palm of your hand to take cool photos that will conquer social networks. In addition, here you can find out the full development cycle of a butterfly. The process of her birth from a chrysalis has not left anyone indifferent, you can follow it on a special stand. Another bright inhabitants of the tropical farm are cute finch birds, and fish live in decorative ponds here. Therefore, this place will definitely conquer those who love nature and animals.

A location where adults and young guests of VDNKh can get to know alpacas, goats, rabbits, llamas, etc. Admire the beauty of pheasants and see how real lemurs live. Experienced veterinarians working at the location will help visitors learn the little secrets of wildlife, as well as learn to love and care for animals.

In the park, you can stroke almost all small residents, because goats and piglets are very fond of attention and hugs. You can treat animals with healthy goodies that are sold at the entrance.

Pavilion No. 10

Schedule: Tuesday-Sunday and holidays from 8:00 to 20:00, Monday is a day off

Entrance: free of charge, film screenings from 120 UAH, children under 4 years old are free.

Unique location of VDNKh. Here you can watch movies in 360 degrees. Thanks to the peculiarities of the screen on which films are broadcast, viewers can immerse themselves in the plot as much as possible. Comfort when viewing is provided by special chairs. The repertoire includes films on various topics and for very different ages. Adults will probably be interested in pictures about the evolution of people about the Universe, the history of the search for dark matter and the work of astronauts.
Kids will love cartoons featuring space adventures. The average session length is 30 minutes.

Also, the center regularly hosts lectures and concerts, arrange scientific quests and even romantic dates under the starry sky.

Linden Alley, near Pavilion 26 (Fire Department)

Schedule: daily from 12:00 to 20:00 (except Monday)

Cost: weekdays from 12:00 to 16:00 - 100 UAH, from 16:00 to 20:00 - 120 UAH. Weekends and holidays: from 12:00 to 16:00 - 120 UAH, from 16:00 to 20:00 - 150 UAH. Prices are indicated for 1 ride lasting 10 minutes.

The only huge track in Ukraine with artificial turf for radio-controlled car models of various scales from 1:18 to 1:10. The location has two tracks. The main one is professional with a difficult configuration 200 m long, a lot of jumps, characteristic obstacles and difficult sections. And a clutter-free entry-level track perfect for those new to car driving experience. You can hone your driving skills with other pilots either with your own car or by renting professional Short Course class cars right on the spot. A new Crawler Park area for trophy models is expected to open soon.

Pavilion 6

Schedule: weekdays 10: 00-19: 00, weekends 10: 00-20: 00

Walking quests at VDNKh are a great opportunity to spend time actively and interestingly. Among the quests there are those that are designed for the whole family, and those that are suitable only for young participants aged 6 to 12 years. All stories are based on popular fairy tales, video games and films. There is also an option for holding holidays for children and adults with an animation program and quest elements at different locations of the Expocentre.

Entrance: UAH 55 by bank transfer, UAH 65 - cash payment (unlimited). On weekdays there is a 50% discount for privileged categories of citizens.

Children up to 120 cm tall - free when accompanied by an adult. There are subscriptions: 1 month - 330 UAH, 3 months - 650 UAH, 6 months - 800 UAH.

An environmentally friendly space, which contains all possible types of swings of various shapes and sizes - wooden, rope and others. While the little ones play, parents can relax in the shade of the spreading trees on comfortable benches and hanging chairs. And also - the territory is completely fenced, so you don't have to worry that the little mischievous people will get lost.

In addition to the swing, there is a trampoline at the location that will withstand not only kids, but also adults weighing up to 100 kilograms. The cost of this entertainment is paid separately 140 UAH, together with the swing - 170 UAH.

This season, the park will be replenished with two new products. The first is a 25 meter long trolls, the second is a large area for celebrating children's birthdays.

Small entertainment areas near pavilions 5 and 10, KidCity Crazy area near the petting zoo

Two comprehensive entertainment areas for children of all ages. In KidCity, little ones can jump on a trampoline, play a maze, ride a train, a carousel, jump on a jump or play fishing.

For younger guests of the park, KidCity Crazy has a sports arena and inflatable slides. And there is also an unusual Chinese labyrinth. The huge panel, knitted by the Chinese artist Toshiko Horiuchi Makadam, resembles a cocoon. There are no metal structures in it, so games there are absolutely safe. Even adults can hardly resist visiting this unusual location. By the way, they can also play with children.

The space was designed as an ideal playground after visiting many playgrounds in Ukraine and abroad. The main purpose of the zone is to provide all children, without exception, the opportunity to play and develop in a natural environment, which contributes to the development of children's imagination, forms the child's worldview and his own way of thinking. In this zone, kids can move between houses located directly in the trees, along special passages, which are fenced with a safety net along the entire length.

The location has a smart zone protected from rain and sun, where children and adults can collect construction sets or read books from the local library. Equipped with: a children's weather station, kinetic structures, a booth and a huge sandbox. Also of interest is the children's "Treasure Cabinet", where there are over 1000 items for Loose Parts Play.

Swimming pool "Pier 39"

On weekdays, from 7:00 to 11:00, the pool works in a sports mode and invites to training those who dream of learning to swim as well professional swimmers, the rest of the time "Pier 39" works in the "city beach" format - with a recreation area, two swimming pools and comfortable sun loungers. For younger guests, there is a 13-meter children's pool with a water slide. There is a large 25-meter pool for adults. Both pools are heated to ensure a comfortable bathing temperature.

Rope park SkyPark

SkyPark offers entertainment for guests of all ages. After all, it has as many as 9 rope tracks of different difficulty levels. Here you can try to go through the DNA spiral, the mysterious Tibetan bridge or the wobbly walkway. Daredevils can try to maintain their balance by riding a skateboard or bicycle on a cable through the trees. And the end of the adventure will be an unforgettable ride on the zip line, a dizzying descent on the SkyLine or the unique feeling of free falling on the QuickJump device.

It doesn't matter which game - Overwatch, WoW, LoL or Dota 2 - you prefer, adore heroic films and comics from Marvel or DC Comics, know by heart Harry Potter and Star Wars love anime - there are interesting things for everyone.

The Blue House Kitchen & Garden is one of the most popular installations at VDNKh. It houses an ornamental plant studio, a gardening and micro-farming center and a very cozy local coffee shop. Guests at Kitchen & Garden are treated to aromatic coffee, lemonade, teas, sandwiches, pies, grilled camembert and other goodies. And all this - right in the Apple Picnic Garden.
