Dobropark -2021: how to get there, what to see - editorial review

“A million tulips have bloomed in Dobropark,” I read in social networks and decided: I have to go. The soul wanted bright colors and emotions. Plus, finally, after cold windy days, it's finally sunny and warm. It was May 5th. In general, it's decided - let's go! But how to get there?

How to get to «Dobroparka»

Dobropark is located in the village of Motyzhin, Kiev region. You need to go along the Zhytomyr highway (18 km from Kiev). If you have your own car, it's not a problem at all. The only thing is that so many people come on weekends that parking can be difficult.

I don't have a car. It is expensive to get to Motyzhin by taxi. About 400 UAH one way. There and back on the road would have to spend 800 UAH. Therefore, I decided to take a special bus, which in May began to run from the Zhitomirskaya metro station directly to Dobropark. And here the hitch began. I found one schedule on the site. But then, after visiting the Dobropark Facebook page, I discovered something else. His photo was posted in the comments, where it was heatedly discussed that people were waiting for the promised minibus for 2 hours, which would take them to the park. To which one of the page subscribers wrote, they say, here is a fresh schedule. It was recently changed.

So, if the timetable on the website indicated that the minibus to Dobropark goes at 15:00, then in this "fresh" schedule it was written that it leaves at 15:30.

How really? I decided to call. There are 3 mobile phone numbers in the public domain, where you can contact regarding the work of Dobropark. One of them is answered by an answering machine. The other was the "pose by the zone." Well, the third one just didn't get answered for hours. In the end, I still got through at 2 pm. And the girl said that the minibus leaves at 15:00! I had to take a taxi to get to the Zhitomirskaya metro station. By public transport from Vinogradar, with two children, I simply would not have time.

From Kiev:

At 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00.

From Dobropark:

at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00.

Where is the bus stop that goes to Dobropark

The site simply states that the bus runs from the Zhitomirskaya metro station. From which side, where exactly - not a word. Or, of course, I was looking badly. But, in my opinion, such information should not be "hidden". It, fortunately, was shared by Dobropark's visitors in the comments on his page on the social network. So, the minibus starts near the Zhitomirskaya metro station, on the side where the Roshen store is. Near the "Tyutyun" booth.

Attention! This minibus is very easy to miss. This is an ordinary yellow or white "Bogdan" number 771. There is an inexpressive inscription "Dobropark" next to the number.

We arrived at this kiosk at 14:55. There was no minibus. And I decided to sit down at a nearby bus stop. I was waiting for the minibus to come up here. But no - she really stopped clearly in front of the kiosk, and not at the bus stop. It's good that my daughter accidentally noticed. We dropped in at the last moment, when there were literally two empty seats.

The fare is 30 UAH per person. Children under 5 years old can travel for free without a separate seat.

The minibus departed from the Zhitomirskaya metro station at 15:10. At 15.50 we were already at Dobropark.

Check with the driver when the last minibus from Dobropark goes. The site indicated - at 19:30. The driver told me that the last minibuses will be at 19:00 and 20:00. The minibus was not late, it was exactly seven. She went to Kiev at 19:10. There was enough seating for everyone.

How did tulips bloom in Dobropark?

In May, the main magnet in Dobropark is, of course, tulips. The fact that they have blossomed was written on the site's page already on May 1. In the comments to people's questions, the founder of the park, Igor Dobrutsky, wrote that they would bloom until the 20th of May.

Different varieties of tulips bloom at different times. Therefore, you will definitely not see continuous tulip fields in Dobrpark. Something is blooming now and will have faded by the time the other tulips are blooming.

Closer to the entrance to the park, there are flower beds where tulips have bloomed 100%. Somewhere there are areas where 70% of tulips are in bloom. And there are fields, closer to food courts and a roundabout, where there are about 20 percent of blossoming tulips. There are areas where tulips have bloomed, but they are so small and frail that they are hard to see. Apparently frozen during the last night frost.

Is it worth going to Dobropark

Definitely worth it. This weekend, May 8-10, of course, there will be pandemonium here. So there is a queue for photoshoot in tulips, toilets and food courts - guaranteed. But from May 11 - the very thing. And more tulips will bloom, and there will be fewer people.

This is a great place for a family vacation. My daughters - 4 years and 7 years old - were delighted with a huge "grass" chair, a red retro car, a merry-go-round and painted rabbits, which they "rode" on the lawn. Older children will love to ride around Dobropark on electric bicycles and take selfies amid all this beauty.

The only thing that the organizers still need to pay more attention to organizational issues. Describe more clearly where the minibus to "Dobropark" starts. Post her photo. Because many, having read about the "bus", expect to see exactly the bus, decorated in the style of "Dobropark". You need to consider the possibility of ordering tickets online - this will avoid queues at weekend. And it would also be very nice if they made a family ticket or discounts for a family. Because, for example, only entrance tickets for a family of four (mom, dad, two children over 5 years old) will cost 460 UAH. This is not counting the cost of transportation and entertainment inside the park.

How much will the rest in "Dobropark" cost?
