I never wanted to be a stylist and did not even think about it. Somehow it happened that my favorite hobby suddenly became a profession. Earlier I already told on the channel that this work requires a lot of investments and at first only brings losses. But people who have chosen to work for themselves are always ready for this and understand - to come to success, you need work, time and patience.
Now I already have a good income: I have gained regular customers, and I am constantly expanding the list of services. Making money on what you can do and still having fun in the process is a great happiness!
I would like to share my personal experience with you - I will tell you about the everyday life of a stylist, finding clients and making money (suddenly one of my readers wants to change their profession and become closer to fashion).
What stylists do
In fact, the list of services provided is quite wide. Everyone chooses the best for himself.
I dismantle wardrobes, help to find "my" styles, make every item from the client's closet work 100%. And I also light a fire in my eyes, never criticize or believe in the theory of color types. Each girl can wear any color, it is just that sometimes it is better not to have some shades on the face.
Now my most demanded service is the preparation of individual capsules with AliExpress and training in competent online shopping. I do not take new clients for this service yet, I work only with regular ones.
How much does a stylist earn
There is no single figure, each specialist determines his own price. An hour of shopping support costs 3000 rubles. It's cheap for Moscow; on average, Moscow stylists take from 6,000 rubles per hour of work. The shopping itself lasts about three to four hours. It happens even longer.
There is seasonality in our work. The main load is in the spring-autumn. We put together a wardrobe for the warm season, make vacation capsules, and in the fall we are already preparing for the cold weather and choosing outerwear.
How stylists find clients
Word of mouth has not been canceled, but if you wait for clients to fall like snow on your head, you won't earn much :) You need to promote your services. Now I'll tell you what I personally use for this myself.
Social network. I have accounts on three platforms: Instagram, Zen and Telegram - which I am actively involved in. I publish photos, articles, notes. Clients come from all three platforms. But it can take a lot of effort and time on social networks, as if I work for two rates: a stylist and an SMM manager.

The stylist also finds orders here :) Unlike social networks, you don't need to spend so much effort on maintaining a page here, except that respond to feedback from grateful customers) Once (during registration) I wrote in detail about my services, set prices, uploaded Photo. Now I just give everyone interested a direct link to my profile in Profi.ru. It's like a free business card site, very convenient.
