Recently I was taking apart the wardrobe of a woman of elegant age, I don't know how old she is. 50 with a ponytail is definitely there. I was amazed by her well-groomed skin, and especially the skin around her eyes - elastic, toned and practically without age wrinkles.
Since the area around the eyes is my sore subject (drooping eyelid and early crow's feet), I unobtrusively asked what procedures she does with a beautician, and asked for the contacts of this wonderful specialist. To my great surprise, it turned out that she had never been to a beautician and took care of herself all her life!
She kindly shared her secrets with me:
- At the age of 18, she began to use cream around the eyes. Before, when there was a shortage, I cooked the cream myself. Now he mainly uses purchased ones, but at home there are always ingredients to create your favorite help-out products that simultaneously nourish and moisturize the skin around the eyes.
- I wore sunglasses even in winter. Of course, this is not an elixir of youth, but dark lenses allow you to squint less and protect the thin and delicate skin around the eyes from the appearance of mimic wrinkles.
- When sunscreens appeared, I completely stopped going outside without them and always applied protective products around the eyes. And in general she protected her face from the sun and tried not to sunbathe.
- And the most important rule is not to let the skin around the eyes dry out. A simple principle that my friend has been using for many years, to be honest, has become an insight for me. She ALWAYS carries eye cream in her purse (he transfers his product from the full format to a miniature jar for convenience, now these can be bought in any store) and renews the cream around the eyes 2-3 times a day. It doesn't take much time, but the result is gorgeous.
Of course, I think that nature has rewarded a woman with good genetics, but early gentle care did the trick.
I adopted her life hack about a small jar of cream, because sometimes I really want to add hydration and nourishment to the skin around the eyes during the day. Also, my friend advised me to replace my usual eye cream with retinol serum in the evening. I will try.
By the way, she also gave me a couple of proven recipes, according to which you can easily prepare the cream yourself:
In a clean container, mix olive oil (1 tablespoon), 2-3 drops of vitamin E and the same amount of vitamin A. Let it brew (about 15 minutes) and apply to the skin with light massage movements in the morning and evening.
Also, according to her, a cream based on chamomile and castor oil is good:
You will need a teaspoon of chamomile flowers and a teaspoon of castor oil, one tablespoon of cream (or honey) and half a glass of boiling water. First, prepare an infusion of chamomile: pour the required amount of dry color with 20 ml of boiling water and let it brew.
We filter, add castor oil and honey (or cream), beat well. Pour the finished cream into a jar (preferably with a wide neck, since the mass will be quite thick). You need to apply it at night, store it in the refrigerator for no more than six days, as homemade creams quickly deteriorate.
I am convinced that a well-groomed appearance at an elegant age is the result of remarkable hard work, diligence and great love for oneself. In achieving this goal, all means are good - both creams prepared in our own kitchen and branded products that are ideal for skin type. And of course, sleep, rest and positive emotions - in general, an integrated approach to preserve beauty and prolong youth.
