At an urgent online briefing, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, spoke about the difficult situation that has developed in Kiev in connection with the coronavirus. The capital breaks records among other cities of Ukraine. Over the past day, more than 1000 people have been infected with coronavirus infection. The number of hospitalized people is increasing. As of March 18, more than 70% of covid beds are occupied. As a result, Kiev was included in the red zone. In order to prevent a further increase in the incidence and collapse of medicine in the capital, the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko decided to introduce strict quarantine measures. Their start is 0:00 on March 20.
What is prohibited in Kiev from March 20
Quarantine will be introduced for 3 weeks, until April 9. At this time, the following are prohibited in the capital:
- work of cultural institutions;
- the work of the shopping and entertainment center;
- religious services in premises where less than 10 sq. m. for one person;
- a cafe at a gas station;
- public events.
Catering establishments will have to work only for take-out.
Kindergartens will work during the quarantine. But after the holidays, schools will return to study in a distance format.
Public transport will operate in the capital as usual. Hairdressers, beauty salons - by appointment only.
