The Kiev authorities decided to temporarily suspend the work of kindergartens and schools in the capital due to bad weather.
The Kyiv City State Administration decided to send schoolchildren home since Thursday, February 11th.
There are no classes on Friday either, and it’s hard to say how things will be from Monday.
Kindergartens in Kiev are also closed until at least February 15th.
Thus, the local authorities plan to unload roads and minimize parking in unauthorized places.
Utilities, which are busy clearing snow, are working to their limits. But in the coming days, according to the forecast that we have, the snowfall will not stop, it is too early to talk about normalization,- noted the acting first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Valentin Mondrievsky. According to him, the fewer cars there are in the city, the faster the snow removal equipment will cope with its task on the streets.
It is noted that the total number of teaching staff together with children in the capital is almost 500,000 people.
