At first, the mother helps the child do his homework and control the time, but then the student himself no longer wants to take on such responsibility, because he is not used to doing everything himself.
Make your homework interesting
The quickest way to learn independently and effectively is to make lessons for your child interesting. But this is also very difficult at the same time, because you have to deal with childish laziness, unwillingness to learn something new, wishful thinking and a banal desire to watch cartoons.
Start with subjects that, in theory, might be of interest to your child — not math, but geography, for example.Find a way for the information the child learns to evoke emotion.
Give the student small assignments as part of the curriculum, promising rewards. For example, when studying flora and fauna, ask your child to explain to you how plants and animals get energy, what are the differences between them?
The child will take the task assigned to him responsibly in order to help a dear person.
Give up fixation on the result
Lessons are to be learned, not taught - how many times have we heard this saying from teachers, right?
But psychologists advise at first with the child to concentrate on the process. Do not give the student specific tasks, for example, remember, retell, write down... Concentrate on the progress of homework, ask what the child is interested in.Talk about what he found curious.
When studying new material, push it in the right direction, say how unusual it is, add emotion.
The next time the child will follow the same pattern on his own, at the exit he will remember much more, because he will leave behind the blind mechanical repetition of the material.
