There are a lot of advertisements around us that promise youth. If you listen to TV, every cream on our supermarket shelves is magical. And there are many popular methods on the Internet. We are promised to get rid of wrinkles, creases, how many high-profile headlines of cheap products I have seen that replace botox, erase wrinkles like an eraser, get rid of an unfaithful husband... Oh, sorry, this is different. All of this is built on a powerful trigger, we all want to be beautiful and young.
Ideally, when all the care is arranged by a competent cosmetologist, or even a dermatologist. But in 2021, this is still not available to everyone: some do not have funds, and some in the city do not even have a good lore.
I am not a cosmetologist, in my article I will just share my experience with you, it will be great if you share yours!
Acids in care: why are they needed, who are they suitable for?
I heard a lot about acids, but I was sure that it was not for me. I have very sensitive skin, sometimes very reactive. I wasn’t even drawn to risk. But once I came across information about acids for sensitive skin, I was surprised that they are. And off we go.
There are AHA acids and BHA acids. The latter are more aimed at problem skin with rashes. Today we are going to talk about AHA acids. They work with complexion, pigmentation, skin relief, hydration. Renew our skin by dissolving epidermal cells. There are several AHAs with varying degrees of effect.
It is not recommended to use acids with a high percentage of acids at home. I do not even climb, and I do not advise you.
If you are a beginner, then you need to start very carefully and gradually. We start with small concentrations, acid tonics are good for this. This is not at all useless water, this is a real workhorse!
For a beginner with sensitive skin, it is recommended to apply the first time once a week. Then you can shorten the gap, look at the reaction of the skin. I used both almond, and later glycolic acid, and I'll tell you about them.
Mandelic acid is good for sensitive skin, glycolic acid for normal skin. Almond has larger molecules, does not penetrate so deeply, due to this it is softer. Glycolic goes deeper and gives better results.
I started with Bielenda's mandelic acid tonic, this is a great budget option, I wouldn't be so sorry if it didn't fit. There was a very very light tingling sensation, this is normal. A week later, I applied it again, saw that there was no negative reaction, repeated it after 3 days, then again after 3 and switched to application every other day. Sometimes I missed it.
Soon they added their already legendary serum, which also has a rather nice price. I even wrote a separate enthusiastic article about her.
I saw the result pretty quickly, I was very pleasantly surprised. The skin became more elastic, fresh, I looked in the mirror and smiled. I really understood that acids are a thing.
Already in the summer I bought a tonic with glycolic acid, when I took it, I still did not know that it might not be suitable for a sensitive one. I began to understand the old woman from the tale about the goldfish. I tried it.
Oh, my face stung very significantly, but it was very tolerable. No pain, it shouldn't be. But there was discomfort. I let the tonic work for about 10 minutes and covered it with cream. The face turned red. In the morning I looked in the mirror and I already liked the result. I repeated it only a week later. The second time in the morning I already fell in love with the tonic. My darling! Here I apply it once every 7 days, I removed the almond so far, and later I think to combine it with a difference of 3 days. May be.
The complexion is clearer, smoother and healthier. My inter-edging has become less pronounced, the difference is just a bomb, I did not expect. Facial wrinkles on the forehead are in place (traitors), but in general they are slightly less pronounced. The skin is moisturized, has ceased to peel off disgustingly. The face has become nourished, this word is great. Girls, I really like the effect, I wish I had tried them before. And a very pleasant bonus - the effect was noticed not only by me, but also by my husband and girlfriends.
Want a separate article with clear guidelines for a beginner? It is unrealistic to fit everything into one. The only thing I will say right away is that areas with rosacea should be avoided (I do not apply to the area of rosacea, I retreat a little), use a cream with SPF-30, or better 50 - be sure even in winter.
