Saturday compilation of erroneous statements on vaccines Sputnik with my comments

I am commenting on the statements on the topic of that very round table about vaccines.

The text of the round table was read, disassembled, but not everyone understood everything correctly.

They write that the HEK cell line is used to transfer particles of the adenoviral vector in the Sputnik vaccine.

This is mistake. HEK cells do not tolerate adenoviral vector particles. They are used to propagate the adenoviral vector.

To vaccinate the population, a lot of vaccine with an adenoviral vector is needed.

The vector cannot replicate in normal human cells, so HEK cells are used to accumulate a large amount of the adenoviral vector. They help the vector to reproduce.

These cells do not carry the vector anywhere. These cells remain in the factory like industrial machines. They only produce many particles of the adenoviral vector. The vector is then packaged into a vaccine, while the HEK cells remain at the factory.

They write that the HEK cell line is cultivated in human embryos.

This is mistake. The HEK cell line is cultured in nutrient broth. There are no embryos there.

There was only one embryo. It was a female embryo, from which a kidney cell culture was obtained in 1973. There are no other embryos in this topic and there have never been.

They write that the HEK cell line can cause gene mutations in the human body, which will manifest itself someday later.

This is mistake. The HEK cell line does not enter the human body and cannot cause anything.

They write that the Sputnik vaccine uses a human adenovirus that can reproduce only in human cells. Therefore, a lot of human cells are needed to produce a vaccine.

This is mistake. The Sputnik vaccine does not use human adenovirus. It uses a vector based on human adenovirus. To multiply enough of this vector, not human cells, but HEK cells are needed. In human cells, the adenoviral vector cannot multiply.

They write that the adenoviral vector in the Sputnik vaccine is equipped with a system for suppressing our immunity.

This is mistake. The Sputnik vaccine is designed in such a way that, on the contrary, it stimulates the immune system.

If it were a virus that multiplies in human cells, then it could suppress immunity. I already explained this in another publications. But this is not a virus that can multiply. This is a vector that cannot reproduce. Therefore, it does not suppress, but rather stimulates the immune system.

They write that the viral vector can enter the germ cells and be inherited by our children.

This is mistake. The viral vector enters the nucleus of our cells, but does not integrate into our chromosomes and is not inherited.

The hereditary information from this viral vector lies separately inside the nucleus of our cells and triggers the synthesis of a viral protein, by which our immunity will then recognize the virus. Immunity will kill those cells in which the viral vector has entered, so they will not be able to transmit anything to anyone.

They write that when our cell factory begins to synthesize a viral protein, it will stop making other proteins useful for our body.

This is mistake. First, our cells are constantly making many different proteins. It does not interfere.

Secondly, the cell that started making the viral protein is already doomed. Immunity will kill her in the same way as it kills all cells in which a virus is found. It is a natural process for the body to destroy the virus. Our body donates infected cells. This is normal.

So it doesn't matter what exactly the infected cell will do and what proteins will not have time to synthesize. She still has to die.

They write that under the influence of the Sputnik vaccine, our cells will produce viral particles.

This is mistake. Our cells will not produce viral particles, but only one foreign protein that our immune system will learn to recognize.
