Many people are in awe of the Stars and Stripes, but today I want to share the reasons why some people don't like America at all!
Negative traits of America
Tip
Here in Russia you pay only for your order in a cafe or restaurant, but in America you will be automatically charged about 20% of the total cost of the order for tea! And no one will ask you whether you liked the service or not. In a taxi, you will have a choice of how much to tip the driver from 20 to 30%. And the worst thing is that the size of the tip is growing very quickly.
Tax
The price tag for an item in a store is not the final price you pay at the checkout. You will have to pay a few dollars more. You have to independently calculate the amount of payment in your mind or on the phone, and this, you see, is not very convenient. And then there are other taxes that are mentioned in very small print. There is a city, state, and county tax, and a tidy sum comes out in the end!
Coffee
The only place where you can drink good coffee in America is Starbucks, otherwise you will be given a drink from a bag. But Starbucks has already turned into some kind of eatery, and not very nice people work there. Most often these are guest workers.
Food
Americans, sorry, eat like pigs, they have no culture of food consumption at all. Mayonnaise is everywhere, everything is fried and fatty, huge desserts. The fact is that Native Americans love to devour, so everything is adjusted for them. If in America you want to eat the right food, then this will result in tidy sums. Food with chemical impurities is much cheaper here and is available at every turn.
Cash payment
In America, you won't be able to pay with a bank card, so you always have to have cash.
Air conditioners
They are everywhere in America! It's cold everywhere in this country, so if you are going to visit it, feel free to take something warmer.
Shower
An interesting thing is for Americans with a shower. There are no hoses in the showers. The shower is simply built into the wall! This is inconvenient, but Americans are used to always standing in this place, soaping themselves, singing a song. And in order not to wet the hair, they put on a shower cap. If you're lucky, and you come across a shower repair made by a European, then perhaps the hose will be there.
Light in the room
In America, you cannot, as in Russia, just turn off the light. There are a million lamps in hotel rooms, and when you are about to sleep, you have to run everywhere and press buttons on lamps, floor lamps, etc. There is no single button to turn everything off, no!
Public transport
Do not believe the pictures from the Internet, because transport in America is simply in a poor state. Buses have broken seats, and the trains are tattered and dirty. Such transport is generally unpleasant to use. By the way, underground transport in the USA is also killed!
Miles
America is the only major nation that goes against the entire system. Because it uses a non-metric system of measurement. That's how complicated everything is for them.
America, perhaps, can only be loved from afar. In fact, there is nothing comfortable and pleasant in this country. Here is such a "light" on the Stars and Stripes decided to shed by people who often visit the United States.
