What is the harm from germinated seeds

Intestinal microbes like to settle in them. This is their natural habitat.

Many people enjoy eating the sprout of something. Some seeds, grains, beans and stuff. There are indeed beneficial nutrients in there, but the very way these nutrients are delivered to the body is very unreliable.

All over the world, people are regularly poisoned by sprouted seeds, and in most cases this is due to the infection that germinated there.

It is clear that moisture and warmth are needed for seed germination. And exactly the same thing is needed for germination of microbes.

They are usually poisoned with salmonella or E. coli. Why intestinal microbes? Because the seeds are normal, as nature intended, should fall to the ground closer to the poop of animals.

This is a natural feature of seeds - to be friends with the dung of different animals and get nutrients from there. Here are the seeds with poop and hug.

And gut microbes from poop, in turn, are trained by natural selection to work closely with the sprouts.

That is, I am not claiming that someone dug up those sprouted grains from the manure. No. It's just that intestinal microbes from manure feel at home in germinating grains. If they were accidentally brought there, then they happily settle there.

If you really really want to eat raw sprouts of something, then at home they must be germinated in strict accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

If you bought a package of sprouted seeds, on which the manufacturer wrote that they are completely ready for use, then, provided they are stored correctly, you can eat them. If not eaten immediately, then usually they can be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature not exceeding 4 degrees for no longer than two days.

If the sprouts are somehow incomprehensible, then they must be heat treated and heated to no less than 100 degrees.

Even the best seeds, properly sprouted by the producer, can contain contamination. Therefore, sprouts are not recommended for use in food for children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with impaired immunity. That is, those who are especially vulnerable.

Did you sprout something for yourself?
