In the cross-allergy story cat meat and pork it was about the physical activity that triggers the attack. Without exercise, you could eat a lot of the allergen, but nothing happened.

There is about the same allergy, but only to wheat.

In Japan, there was a small epidemic of wheat allergy that only manifested itself during exercise.

It turned out to be related to soap. Japanese women love exotic care products. Wheat protein soap has proven to be especially popular.

Wheat proteins are gluten, which is gluten. It can be an allergen. Not the kind of gluten intolerance that everyone has heard of, but more like a common food allergy.

And now, from the regular use of soap with wheat proteins, a food allergy to wheat was slowly started. It was difficult to induce an attack of such an allergy, but it is possible.

The diagnosis was also difficult to establish. An allergen test was used for diagnosis.

It turned out that industrially manufactured allergen kits somehow very uncertainly revealed such a hidden allergy to wheat. A positive skin test result was obtained only in 30% of cases. But the test with ordinary flour for some reason revealed allergies in as many as 80% of cases.

For diagnostics, not only the one familiar to allergy sufferers is used prik- hand test, but also the so-called patch-test. This is a method where a patch with an allergen is glued to the back and worn there for two days. If the reaction was not entirely specific, then in two days it was definitely possible to wait for the result.

For the dough, flour with a high gluten content was used, mixed with saline solution about one to one and the resulting dough was applied to the skin of the back.
