What you need to buy for the birth of a child

You are expecting a baby and want to be sure that you will not forget to buy everything important for him birth. But how not to buy too much and not waste money? After all, there is so much that is needed - which does not fit in my head.

We offer you a checklist of basic purchases that will definitely be enough for you for the first months of a child's life.

Children's room

What do you need: baby cot, mattress, 2 sheets with elastic bands, mattress topper, blanket, changing chest of drawers, plugs in sockets, locks on windows (not only in the nursery), stoppers for doors, pads for sharp corners, rattles and soft books, a teether, a mobile for a crib, a night light, an organizer for small things, a humidifier air.

You may need: baby monitor, chaise longue for baby, dummy.

Don't waste your money: pillow (up to 2 years old is unnecessary and harmful), canopy on the bed (collects dust), bumpers in the crib (can be dangerous, collecting dust), a changing mat (no more use from it than from a waterproof diapers).

Swaddling

What do you need: Diapers (start with size 0, not 1, as newborns are constantly leaking from a loose fit); waterproof diaper; reusable cloth diapers (thin and warm, they can be used to cover the baby, if it is not very cold), 4 pieces; diaper rash ointment; wet wipes.

You may need: powder (usually needed for boys), disposable diapers.

Don't waste money: a diaper recycler (it certainly does not save the environment).

Baby clothes

What you need in the cold season: warm envelope or jumpsuit, fleece jumpsuit (less warm), 5-piece man suits (with buttons along the entire length), 2 pairs of thin socks and 1 pair of warm socks, a hat for the weather, mittens.

What you need in the warm season: suits - little men 2-3 pcs., bodysuits with short sleeves 3-4 pcs., sandpipers 2-3 pcs. (more "street" version of the form of clothing than the bodysuit), panama hat, thin socks 2 pairs.

You may need: scratches (on an elastic band, otherwise the child will quickly remove them), sliders 2 pcs.

Don't waste money: dresses, elaborate costumes, clothes that are worn over the head, undershirts (bulging), shoes for newborns, jeans.

Breast-feeding

What do you need: clothes for mom that will allow you to feed outside the home, 2-3 nursing bras, 2 bottles with nipples, a feeding chair (from 6-8, 2 bibs

You may need: nipple healing cream, silicone pads, breast pads (milk leakage), electric breast pump, milk storage bags.

Artificial feeding

What do you need: mixture, 2 bottles, bottle brush, paper towels.

Don't waste money: sterilizer, bottle warmer.

Trips and walks

What do you need: stroller with large wheels (for snow and off-road) and good shock absorption, bedding and blanket in the stroller, bag for spare things (napkins, diapers, water bottle), raincoat and mosquito net for strollers, car seat, window screens, organizer for seat.

You may need: stroller-cane, sling or ergo-backpack.

Don't waste your money: used car seat, mirror for watching the child in the car.

Baby hygiene

What do you need: bathing gel, hand soap, anti-slip bath mat, toothbrush and paste (from the first tooth), body lotion, cotton swabs, cotton pads, toys for bathing, water thermometer, 2 bath towels, 2-3 small hand towels, 2 face towels, dry and wet wipes, baby nail scissors, comb-comb.

You may need: a small bath, if you do not want to collect a large one and a seat for kupanich; anti-seborrheic crusts shampoo, shampoo, toy storage net.

Don't waste money: circle for bathing in the bath (not all children like it, the child will quickly grow out of it).

First aid kit

What do you need: paracetamol and ibuprofen in suppositories (with age - in the form of a syrup), 1-2 syringes without a needle, allergy drops, saline nasal solution, aspirator, rehydration agent, hydrogen peroxide, a set of patches, bruise cream, gum gel, infrared and electronic thermometer, sunscreen cream.

You may need: glycerin candles.

Chemistry

What do you need: powder for baby clothes, gel for washing baby dishes, neutral cleaning agent.

Don't waste money: conditioner for baby clothes.
