Unfortunately, today many family unions break up, even the presence of children does not stop spouses.
Not all fathers and wives are willing to voluntarily pay the costs of baby out of pocket, therefore in our country there is a concept of compulsory alimony.
Maximum amount of alimony
From January 2020, in Ukraine, ten living wages can be collected for a child as much as possible.If the child is not yet 6 years old, then the maximum payments will be as follows:
- 01.01.2020 - 17790 UAH,
- 01.07.2020 - UAH 18590,
- 01.12.2020 - 19210 UAH
For children from 6 to 18 years old, the following maximum possible penalties are provided:
- 01.01.2020 - 22180 UAH,
- 01.07.2020 - 23180 UAH,
- 01.12.2020 - 23950 UAH

Minimum amount of alimony
As for the minimum size of elements, it can be calculated according to the guaranteed or recommended sample.In the first case, a child under 6 years old is guaranteed to receive the following amount:
- 01.01.2020 - 889.5 UAH,
- 01.07.2020 - 929.5 UAH,
- 01.12.2020 - 960.5 UAH
And a child who has reached 6 years old can count on the following payments:
- 01.01.2020 - 1109 UAH,
- 01.07.2020 - 1159 UAH,
- 01.12.2020 - 1197.5 UAH
If we are talking about the recommended minimum payment, then it is calculated taking into account the needs and prices in the Ukrainian market (on average). For example, as of 2020, a child receives a payment from 1779 to 1921 (up to 6 years old) and from 2218 to 2395 hryvnia (after 6 years) using this template.
Please note that the amount of the recommended minimum payment is affected by the availability of work at payer, the amount of his salary, the presence of other children and debt obligations, the presence of people on custody.
How to get child support in Ukraine in 2020?
It is possible to collect alimony on a voluntary or compulsory basis.
In the first case, alimony:a) are not documented, the husband / wife regularly transfers money to the spouse living with the child or children by personal agreement;
b) is transferred after the signing of the so-called maintenance agreement, which must be submitted to the accounting department.
Enforced recovery of alimony occurs through the court.
