When will the school winter break

Traditionally Ukrainian schoolchildren go on winter holidays for the New Year holidays, i.e. the holidays cover New Year and Christmas. This year, the classic holidays will not be canceled either, they will begin on December 25 and will end on January 11.

Schools during lockdown

From January 8, a strict quarantine begins in Ukraine, it will last until January 24.

With schools and universities closed during lockdown, children are likely to be out of school all month. However, the curriculum must be completed, so the Ministry of Education is thinking about distance learning.

How will children learn in schools in winter?

Education Minister Sergei Shkarlet recalled that restrictions on schools remain in place. This means that more than 20 students are prohibited from being in classrooms at the same time.

Quarantine in a single school can also be introduced if more than half of the team is on self-isolation.

In this case, the second half of the students and teachers also go into self-isolation. The educational institution stops working for two weeks.
