In accordance with the law of Ukraine, schools have the right to independently determine the dates of holidays for students.
The Ministry of Education and Science can only recommend that educational institutions let go on vacation schoolchildren on certain dates, but the decision will still remain with the administration.
Nevertheless, fresh recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science already exist and can be used as preliminary information:
- Ukrainian schoolchildren can go on vacation from December 25, 2020 to January 10, 2021.
Some educational institutions decided to shorten the holidays due to the forced quarantine in the fall, sending children on vacation on December 31.
For example, it was decided in the schools of the city of Rivne.
Will schools be open during lockdown?
The date of the introduction of the lockdown in Ukraine is still unknown, but it is clear that in conditions of severe quarantine we will have to live for three weeks in January. At this time, schools, most likely, will not work, said the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko. During the lockdown in Ukraine will be closed:- restaurants (takeaway only),
- entertainment venues,
- fitness centers,
- gyms,
- schools,
- kindergartens.
They do not plan to close the transport, but only in the number of seats. Grocery stores will operate as before, restrictions will not affect hotels and ski resorts throughout the country.
