When will universities open in Ukraine 

Quarantine continues in Ukraine. All regions of our country are divided into 4 zones - in the green zone there are almost no restrictions in public life, and if a region falls into the red zone, then strict quarantine begins to operate in it.

Universities will open from September 1 in regions that fall into the green, yellow or orange zones.

In the red zone, the educational process stops completely.

Once in the red zone, the city or town will be able to leave it no earlier than in 2 weeks, if the criteria allow.

Students, keep an eye on the zone in which your university is located in order to know for sure whether the educational process is taking place there. But don't forget to ask the administration directly. After all, higher education institutions, unlike schools, have a greater level of autonomy.

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal, the decision on the introduction and termination of quarantine is made by the Academic Council.

There are about 1.2 million students in Ukraine, and it is important that they study in a safe environment. The decision about whether students will study remotely, whether they will go to the university should be made taking into account the epidemiological situation in each specific region. Of course, all decisions must be made with safety in mind.

If the situation is favorable, the first year students will begin their studies from September 1 to September 15. Senior students - from September 1.

How will the process of studying at universities

In 2020, masks and respirators are becoming mandatory for students at the entrance to the university and while moving between classrooms, masks can be omitted in classrooms.

The university administration must ensure that the temperature of the personnel is measured.

The decision to measure temperature for students can be made locally (this is optional).

Do not forget to use antiseptics, which should be located at the entrance to the room, for used masks and gloves, equip special containers, markings will appear on the floor, which will help maintain social distance, and in canteens, so-called Buffet.
