Increasingly, Ukrainians are complaining about ghost foods that appear in broad daylight on their checks.

You didn’t buy the product, but it’s there. 10% of consumers surveyed saw products on their check that were actually not there. But there is nothing mystical about it - this is how fraudulent activities occur at the checkout counters in stores. In the program "Ranok z Ukraine" on the channel "Ukraine", experts told how to protect yourself from unscrupulous cashiers.

Today, most Ukrainians prepare for going to the supermarket for almost several days - they make lists, calculate expenses. But sometimes it also happens that until they reach the checkout - the goods have doubled in price or from somewhere in the grocery basket. The seller is responsible for such serious violations, and he must compensate for what you overpaid. But on one condition: if the error is found in the store. The consumer protection expert believes that this is mainly due to the inattention of the store employees. But there are also deliberate attempts to deceive the buyer in order to make more money.

“If suddenly such a situation occurs and you find an error at home, to be honest, it will be quite problematic to resolve the issue with the store. Because if a product that you did not buy is punched, they may tell you that in fact it was purchased, but you it was just posted, ”comments Elena Kulikova, an expert on consumer protection, in the program“ Rank z Ukraine ".

To prove the guilt of an unscrupulous cashier, you must have proof - the product you bought, a receipt for it and a photo of your products, if any. Video recording from internal surveillance cameras in the store will also be proof.

“I advise you to contact the police - to call them to the scene, to record the incident,” says lawyer Ivan Lieberman on the air of the Ukraina channel.

Therefore, in order not to become a victim of such shenanigans, you should pay attention to the prices on the labels. Calculate the approximate purchase amount in your head in order to check the receipt in case of discrepancy. Or, if you are afraid that you will be deceived, take a photo of the products that are on the tape at the cashier.
