Why does the child lie: the answer of Dmitry Karpachev

In the meantime, the host of the project, Dmitry Karpachev, named three reasons why children cheat.

All people lie, including children. Leading reality TV "Supermama" and the project "Lie Detector", an expert on child developmental psychology Dmitry Karpachev, answered questions from subscribers on the social network and explained how this mechanism.

“People cheat for three main reasons, regardless of gender or age:

• The first reason is that they want to get something that they will not get if they tell the truth.
• Second, they want to avoid something. Most often, for example, children want to avoid punishment.
• And third, they want to be someone they are not.

Basically, we can say that if the child is lying, most likely, it is not safe for him to tell the truth next to you. Most parents teach their children to lie by developing this attitude towards wrongdoing. Therefore, I believe that if a child has committed an offense and confessed it, he should not be punished. On the contrary - it is worth somehow encouraging for the truth. Although, of course, situations are completely different ", - says the expert.

Dmitry Karpachev also noted that a child's fantasies can be manifested in this way before the age of four.
