Today we live in the midst of the greatest pandemic of the Chinese coronavirus and must adhere to all precautionary principles in dealing with people, says infectious disease doctor and epidemiologist Sato Akihiro.

According to him, the most effective measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is not a ban on events, but a safe distance between people.

He considers this distance to be 1.5 - 2 meters.

On the streets, the risk of catching an infection is reduced, so limiting public events does not give the expected result. People become infected not at events that take place in the open air, but in closed rooms in which they talk at a distance of 30 centimeters to 1 meter.
The doctor advises keeping a distance of 1.5 meters (at least) to reduce the risks of contracting coronavirus. If you notice that someone is coughing or sneezing, then you should move away from such a person at a distance of 3 meters.
