Ukraine introduces quarantine due to coronavirus: all schools will be closed

From March 12, quarantine begins throughout Ukraine.

Starting today, March 11, all schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions in Kiev are closed due to the threat of the spread of the deadly coronavirus. The corresponding decision was announced by the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.

According to him, not a single case of coronavirus has yet been recorded in Kiev, however, anti-epidemic measures are designed to protect residents.

In the capital, the holding of mass events will also be limited, concerts, conferences and sports competitions will be canceled. It is expected that entertainment centers and play areas in the shopping center will also not work during quarantine.

Additional checks in shopping centers are being introduced in Kiev, sanitary doctors will monitor visitors.

If Chinese COVID-19 is detected in the Ukrainian capital, restrictions may be even stricter.

The decision on quarantine in the rest of the country was also made today, local authorities must complete the educational process as soon as possible, kindergartens and schools will not work. While the quarantine will last 3 weeks.
