Researchers analyzed the eating habits of high school students to see if fast food affects life.

In a study that scientists at the University of Queensland conducted in 64 countries of the world and with the participation of 175 thousand adolescents, it was possible to find out that fast food has a negative effect on certain cognitive functions of the brain, such as memory, and also reduces the quality of sleep in adolescents.
The analysis showed that between the ages of 12 and 15, eating junk food is associated with poor sleep, which in turn impairs cognitive abilities, including memory.
Teens who frequently consumed sugary soda were 55% more likely to have trouble sleeping. Sleep disturbances were also observed in children who ate fast food more than four times a week. By the way, girls were more likely to have violations.
