In the fall, pregnant women need even more vitamins to support their immune system and not succumb to the seasonal blues.
1. Omega-3 fatty acids
They are especially important in the first trimester so that the gray matter of the brain and the retina of the eyes form correctly in the baby.
To get enough fatty acids, you need to eat sea fish or take dietary supplements at least 2 times a week.
2. Magnesium
It is the main protector of the nervous system of a pregnant woman. It helps to maintain calmness and balance, not to succumb to seasonal blues, helps with rapid fatigue, irritability, sleep problems.
During pregnancy, a woman needs at least 400 mg of magnesium per day, but it is better to check the dosage with a doctor.
3. Vitamin D
In the fall, it can no longer be obtained with the help of a regular walk on the street, therefore it must be taken in an added form. Pregnant women are recommended 1500-2000 mg of vitamin D per day - this is about 3-4 drops. It helps to absorb calcium (but with a constant overdose, the opposite process occurs and calcium is poorly absorbed), and also strengthens the immune system, maintaining a normal level of leukocytes in the blood.4. Zinc
It improves the functioning of the immune system, takes care of the health of a woman's skin, hair and nails, and also protects the baby from intrauterine infections.
But remember that the required dosage of vitamins and minerals taken should be determined by the doctor.
