Halloween 2020 Recipes: Soft Pie with Nuts and Pumpkin Filling

Making a seasonal pumpkin pie at home and decorating it for Halloween is a great holiday plan.

Use nutmeg, cinnamon, or ginger (optional) for a rich, savory filling.

Ingredients:

  • Hazelnuts 80 g,
  • Flour 1.5 cups,
  • Sugar 2 tbsp. spoons,
  • Butter 150 g,
  • Water 5 tsp spoons,

For filling:

  • Sugar 80 g,
  • Egg 1 pc.,
  • Yolk 1 pc.,
  • Cornstarch 2 tsp spoons,
  • Pumpkin puree 200 g,
  • Milk 100 g,
  • Cream 100 g,
  • Cinnamon, ginger, nuts to taste.

Cooking method:

1. Beat the nuts until powder, mix them with flour and sugar.

2. Add butter to the mixture, beat until sandy.

3. Knead the dough with water.

4. Roll out a circle on parchment paper just slightly larger than your baking dish.

5. Place the dough in a mold and freeze for 60 minutes.

5. Line the cake from the refrigerator with foil and cover with sugar, leveling.

6. Bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.

7. For pumpkin filling, combine all ingredients in bowls and whisk.

Pour the filling over the pie after 45 minutes of baking and leave in the oven for another 45 minutes at 160 degrees.
